OH %@#*!!!

Hello all,
Hope you are all doing well on this wonderfully wet Wednesday afternoon!! I hope your day is going well wherever you are in the world!

HAVE AN AWESOME DAY

It was Shrove Tuesday (aka Pancake Day) here in the UK yesterday, Not that I like Pancakes. But to all those who DO like them, I hope you enjoyed them.

HAPPY PANCAKE DAY!

I was just wondering with today being Ash Wednesday, if anybody is trying to give anything up for lent? Or if you are figuring that you would cave right away and so therefore aren't going to rise to the challenge.
NOW the thing with me is what do i give up? I don't drink or smoke so that's a non-starter, I like chocolate now and again but I am not a mad fan, so that isn't really an option. I'm not a BIG shopping fan either so I can't say I'll save money by not shopping as that bores me anyway. So I REALLY have NO clue.

SWEARING. IT'S NOT BIG AND IT'S NOT CLEVER!!

My mum did come up with a good one which I could try and give up swearing, because even though I'm not a HUGE potty mouth I do tend to swear when I'm driving or if somebody REALLLLLYYY ticks me off. But I find that the more I TRY not to swear the more I tend to, it's almost as if my subconscious is playing tricks on me. Also in some situations ( i.e stubbing your toe, banging your funny bone e.t.c) NOTHING makes you feel better like a good swear word here and there. I do hate to hear swearing as it just sounds trashy, but in those brief moments when all else fails you just need to let it out!

THIS IS WHEN I NEED TO LET IT OUT!
But my mum sums it up once again, she says "How can you write so beautifully and use such eloquence in your writing when such language comes out of your mouth?" The answer? I have NO clue!

MMMM???

So my only conclusion is to TRY that's all I can do, if I fail I'll try again!! Any body else giving anything up??
Let me know what it is and how you get on......GOOD LUCK!! Oh £@%#........KIDDING!! :)
HUGS AS EVER AND TAKE CARE TO MIND YOUR P'S AND Q'S

  5. I hadn't heard of Pancake Day, either. I'll bet the IHOP got a lot of business that day, though.

    Good luck!

  6. Sometimes there is just nothing quite so expressive and an incredibly well placed and well played swear word. This is of course my own opinion and completely willing to accept any that you have... even though, that moment between stubbing your toe and feeling the pain... yeah, that's the one.... LOL!

  7. Hi Wily
Long time no hear. Hope you are well :-) You know what I do agree with you on that one, sometimes there just aren't any other expressions to hand and the first knee jerk reaction is always a swear word *blush*.
Yeah that is TOTALLY the one!!! xxx
